Amieira is a former Portuguese parish in the municipality of Portel, with an area of 98.36 km² and 362 inhabitants (2011). Its population density was 3.7 inhabitants/km².
The parish of Amieira, together with the parish of Alqueva, became the Union of parishes of Amieira and Alqueva, headquartered in Amieira.
Located at the confluence of the Amieira stream and the Degrebe river, the village already existed in Roman times, as evidenced by the necropolis of Nossa Senhora das Neves. Today, it is mainly known for its modern marina, where there are houseboats for rent, on which it is possible to sail across the large lake of Alqueva.
